Lakeview Lodge is the perfect location for a couple or a family offering uninterrupted views across the countryside and the nearby lake. With everything you could need the pod provides a romantic getaway or a base for exploring everything the area has to offer. Lovingly furnished incorporating the local area, the owners want this to be ‘The place where memories are made’. Automatic lighting leads you down from the parking space to the pod. With an outdoor seating area around a fire pit with griddle over for barbecues. As you walk through the door the open-plan design floods the interior with light. A comfortable living area boasts an l-shaped sofa bed which lifts up and out to create a second occasional double bed, overlooking the Smart TV for a cosy evening in. A round dining table provides a dining area for the family and the open-plan kitchen provides everything you need for your stay. The open plan living area has a kingsize bed in the bedroom with an additional separate bedroom offering three single beds for the children, to which the door can be closed for privacy. The owners have also thoughtfully provided hairdryers for added convenience.
Looking over the 1066 countryside Hillcroft Farm pods are located just off a main footpath/bridleway leading down into Coombe Valley Nature Reserve perfect for ramblers or cyclists with its cycle path.
Hillcroft Farm itself is a working arable farm with over 1000 acres of different crops which can be seen for miles. Looking south of the pods you can see the large lake in the distance whilst watching the sunrise and listening to the local wildlife. With little light pollution you can spend the evening sitting outside around the fire pit drinking hot chocolate, toasting marshmallows and looking up at the stars. Crowhurst boasts a mainline railway station leading straight into London along with a local pub within walking distance. There is an abundance of public footpaths throughout the village great for walking and cycling. Slightly further afield the historic town of Battle only a ten minute drive away offers an abundance of local independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants along with the home of The Battle of Hastings itself at English Heritage’s Battle Abbey. Fancy a trip to the coast then Hastings and St Leonard’s are only a short drive away boasting fun for all of the family including the beach, the pier, amusements, crazy golf (the home of the world crazy gold championships!), aquarium, funicular railways, smugglers caves and no trip to the seaside would be complete without the traditional ice cream parlours and fish and chip shops. Further afield East Sussex boasts an abundance of walks, gardens and castles including Bewl Water, Bedgbury Pinetum, Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle and Batemans the home of Rudyard Kipling to name just a few. Supermarket 7 minutes’ drive.

Wow! just wow! Beckie is the most amazing host - nothing was too much trouble. She answered all my questions super quickly (there were a lot about local area!) and provided so many helpful suggestions. I am so grateful - my husband had the best 40th birthday weekend largely due to all the incredible suggestions Beckie made! And as for the pod - it is worth every single penny and more. The most beautiful place inside and out. Everything is super luxurious; comfy beds, fab shower, thick soft towels, beautiful quality bed linen. From the moment we stepped inside we were instantly relaxed and adored all the framed quotes. Every last little thing has been thought of and the pod is equipped with all you need and more. The kids loved the swing and the phone box! The Halloween decorations and poppy memorial outside the pods were beautiful. We were all sad to leave and wish we could have stayed much longer. a thousand thank yous **
