This welcoming, detached family home enjoys a lovely location, standing within 2 acres of extensive lawned gardens and overlooking the surrounding fields and countryside. Arnewood Corner is an ideal base for gathering family and friends, with many thoughtful touches and home comforts found throughout. Enjoy the games cabin, complete with a pin-ball machine, and a selection of games and toys, as well as the private hot tub, children’s play area and the outdoor swimming pool heated all year round. There are six bedrooms found inside the main house, two of which are on the ground floor. There is a juke-box in the dining room and a piano in the living room.
This lovely property is located just a one mile drive away from the pretty village of Sway, which has a village shop, family butchers, post office and a selection of pubs and restaurants. The ever popular New Forest National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is a haven for wildlife, is nearby with many roaming ponies and cattle along the roadsides and across the heathland, as well as extensive walking, cycling and horse riding routes. There is plenty to do in the area for all ages, all year round; picturesque villages serving cream teas, vineyards, golf courses, stately homes and many family attractions. Brockenhurst is nearby, as is the popular sailing town of Lymington, which is a short drive away, with its pretty harbour, fishing trips, cobbled streets, boutiques, pubs, restaurants and day trips by ferry to the Isle of Wight.
Other places of interest nearby include Beaulieu Motor Museum, the riverside village of Bucklers Hard, Exbury Gardens, Marwell Zoo, Peppa Pig World and New Forest Owl and Otter Park, to name but a few. Further afield, but well worth the trip, are Monkey World and the Tank Museum at Bovington. The property is also within easy reach of many beaches including Mudeford, Sandbanks, Poole and Bournemouth, the nearest beach being 4 miles away at Milford-on-Sea – also great for crabbing! Along the coastline, there are a many popular activities such as windsurfing, boating and swimming. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile. Please note there are no pavements on the roads leading from the property.

We had 2 weeks at this property with 6 Adults, 5 Children ( 11 yrs to 17 yrs ) and 3 dogs. The space in the garden gave the dogs room to run and the families plenty of room to play ball games. The swimming pool was a hit with everyone as the weather was hot and sunny . The hot tub was great for the adults in the evening. The pinball machine and table tennis brought out the competetive nature between us all and inside, the juke box was really enjoyed by the teenagers and enabled some reminiscing from the adults. The house was well equipped with enough space for everyone. The owners were very quick to respond to any minor problems and were both very friendly. A fabulous location but a car is essential to get anywhere. We enjoyed the beaches, outdoor activity centre and New Forest but needed to drive. The Hare and Hounds pub was only a short drive away and was excellent. This was a great place to get together with a large group or family.

Arnewood Corner is a comfortable, well equipped house. The only equipment lacking was a variety of really sharp knives for cooking and sufficient coasters for drinks. The pool was a very comfortable temperature and the juke box and pinball machine allowed the older members of the party to wallow in nostalgia. We found the information provided prior to travelling very useful indeed, particularly the advice regarding recycling. Unlike some of the cottages we have visited Arnewood Corner is not overburdened with trivial rules. The garden was superb for the dogs who loved the space to chase a ball so near the house. The owners were very helpful both prior to and during our visit. All four generations who made up the party really enjoyed the week - oh and the weather was excellent!

Excellent accommodation loved the swimming pool, hot tub , especially the pin ball and juke box. The grounds were ideal for playing games and exercising. We found the owners very helpful. We enjoyed our holiday.
