All of its closest amenities are found in Godshill, just over a mile to the west and home to tea rooms, one or two pubs, restaurants, and shops. The village contains Godshill Model Village and Gardens, which is one of the Isle of Wight s best loved visitor attractions. A few miles further south lies the interesting town of Ventnor. Ventnor boasts some of the island s best eateries and a small sandy beach that faces in a southerly direction. Getting the best of the good weather the sheltered coast soaks up the thermals and during summer is a sunbathing hotspot. Stop by Ventnor s Botanical Gardens if you like to see exotic plants and trees.
