This lovely period cottage, situated in the conservation area of Whitstable, is ideally located close to the colourful harbour and beach which is gently shelving, making it ideal for families. Whitstable is a favourite coastal town with lots of atmosphere, making it a fantastic place to enjoy a seaside holiday. There is a large and varied choice of restaurants and cafes to suit everyone’s mood and is famous for its oysters, celebrated in July at the Oyster Festival. There is a long stretch of shingle beach from the working harbour to Seasalter, perfect for paddling and swimming. There are a variety of water sports to try including kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing and lots of coastal miles to cover. Try the Crab and Winkle Way or cycle along the coast to Herne Bay. Canterbury (8.4 miles) is a great day out with independent shopping and its world-famous Cathedral.

Step straight into the sitting room which is comfortably furnished with a large soft sofa, an armchair and a Smart TV, continue into the dining room and open plan kitchen which is light and airy, making this room the heart of the cottage with doors opening into an enclosed garden, perfect for children playing outside while the grown-ups chat and prepare dinner. The kitchen is fully equipped with a good range of appliances and has everything you need to prepare a tasty breakfast or a hearty evening meal. The family bathroom is located just off the kitchen. The stairs lead to the first floor with two king-size bedrooms with hanging space, a chest of drawers and mirrors and offer a haven for sleep after long days of activity. We have just had a perfect weekend in this gorgeous place. It really feels as though this is somebody’s own holiday home that they rent out when not using it, as everything is fantastic quality, from the John Lewis bed linen (yes I had a look!) to all the Heals furnishings and a fully stocked kitchen. As someone with a bad back I especially appreciated the firm mattresses and had a great nights sleep. The dawn chorus of seagulls meant the window had to be closed in the morning, but aside from that it was really pretty quiet, despite being less than 5 minutes walk from the seafront. The space feels very calm - and we spent quite a lot of time relaxing in the lovely little garden as well. We’ll definitely be back and I would highly recommend!

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Sea Dog. The house is in a great location, only 2-3 minutes walk from the restaurants and shops. On Harbour Street and the sea / beach front just the other side. Lots to do in Whitstable and nearby. The street is quiet and the house has been furnished to a high standard. Slept well - beds very comfortable and relaxing sunny garden behind

We had a lovely break in the cottage in Whitstable. Location is just off the high street, close to all the amenities – but street is quiet. Great independent restaurants & bars nearby. We loved being able to walk to the sea in five minutes!! Lovely comfy beds, big TV (not that we used it) and modern kitchen/bathroom, all the mod cons. There is on-street parking, but often busy – we used the public car park sometimes - about 2 mins walk away. Lovely place for a seaside break.
