  5 minutes walk from the beach, 5 minutes walk into old town, 5 minutes walk to Dreamland. The house is smart, comfortable and worked well for us, a family of 5 with two teen boys and a 5 year old (said her bed was very comfy and enjoyed the toys/books). Pretty courtyard was a bonus. The shower worked well (read someone had issues). We parked to drop off stuff then parked a 10 min walk away on side streets just past the Station. Dreamland is such a fab place but only a fraction of rides open in these pandemic times, still a nice place to hang out as great seating areas and free to get in and reasonable prices. Love the Turner Contemporary (The Antony Gormley Another Time sea statue a must visit), and in Old Town; Peters Fish (value for money and worth the queue) and the Light Keeper shop. The High street behind the house can be perilous in the evening, becoming full of cars and local characters, one of those streets that needs some love...but Margate is all about the rough and the smooth... so enjoy.

  Thank you, we enjoyed our stay at Grosvenor Hill. Its a beautiful home, clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The bedrooms were spacious, clean, the beds were super comfortable and rooms lovely decorated. The living room was homely and welcoming with two lovely fireplaces, dining table to have meals and a TV with streaming channels. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, and they had beautiful sized mugs for a large cup of tea! I brought extra stuff like kitchen towlels, washing up liquid, cloths and they had it all already. It really was a home from home. We went for walks within the town and seafront about a 5 mins walk away, with lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. Finally, checking in was simple as the instructions were straightforward. There isnt any parking available outside the house as you have to have a permit. Although we parked and unpacked the car and then parked for free a few streets away, no more than 10 minute walk. Five stars! Thanks Tony

  We really loved this house! It was airy, spacious, clean and beautifully decorated and super comfy. We felt like home! It’s in a fantastic location: close to the beach, Dreamland, the high street, and also the Old Market place! There was a great smart TV and we had access to Netflix and all other channels! There were many books and games hidden inside the foot stall of the sofa set! However, there were a few small issues within the house that I’m sure can easily be rectified! he kitchen lacked a few basic items! There was no frying pan or colander! There were no spare bin liners, so had to buy! Also had to buy toilet rolls as there weren’t enough! Some of us experienced problems with the shower pressure! Sometimes it worked well and sometimes it didn’t - the water pressure was extremely low! The single bedroom could have done with a curtain as it was quite bright in the room in the morning Overall we recommand this place to anybody. we have great time. no regret

  Lounge was just lovely. Very comfortable seating. Loved the map on the wall and all the artwork throughout. Loved the birdsong from outside. Bedrooms very good and comfy beds and crisp cotton sheets/duvet covers. The location was fab as close to sea front and the High Street and our favourite restaurants. Loved the chime from the clock Tower? Absolutely loved staying here and will come again. Shower could do with hand rails and non-slip mat please. Not easy to access it if an older person. Water took a long time to heat up at first but once it came it was fine. Had to be careful with shower as went too hot or too cold to start with. Could just have been us though. Toilet seat needs to be adjusted as is a bit off centre. Plumper pillows maybe would be good.

  Me and a friend stayed here for 4 nights ,it's a lovely big clean spacious house with a patio. Very easy to walk to from the train station and to walk down into town/old town. We walked to The Shell Grotto, The Margate Caves and back and forth to the old town many times . The amusement park Dreamland is situated very close to the house, not sure I'd stay here when Dreamland is open as they often hold concerts and other events in there so I imagine it would be noisy, however its a great location for an out of season getaway as Dreamland is shut during that time and the location of the house is quiet. Don't quite understand why there isn't a washing machine that guests can use. That's the only thing I can think of .
