Enjoying a rural location in the lovely Sussex countryside, these two beautifully refurbished, detached single-storey barn conversions are located close to the South Downs and only 15 minutes’ drive to the beach. Within easy reach are beaches at Worthing and Brighton, historic Arundel with stunning castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Chichester with its cathedral and Goodwood/Fontwell races. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens to visit. Shop 1 mile, pubs and restaurants 2 miles.

As with most holiday accommodation there are quite a few things that I would not like to live with full time. Overall however the accommodation is satisfactory & if you like quiet, a very good location. Most major attractions are at least 25 minutes away by car, there are a couple of local pubs & Steyning is lovely (5 minutes by car).

We had a brilliant stay in the Old Packhouse a beautifully converted barn. Nice and spacious with everything we needed. Lovely enclosed decking area for our little dog and surrounded by forest and grassed areas too. All accomodation was on the ground floor as mum had a walking buggy, only step was onto the decking area. Own parking space to side of house. Nice welcoming touch of cake and a tea tray with a vase of sweet peas too! Mandy and Chaz were very welcoming and helpful. Very quiet and secluded area with lots of little villages and towns locally to visit. We loved Steyning and Bramber. Visited St Mary’s House and garden and the Weald and Downland living museum both really worth a visit. Lots of local walking and not got far to join the hiking trails for the South Downs. We loved sitting on the decking area watching the birds! Very relaxing. Thankyou to Mandy and Chaz. Hope to see you again. Anne,Mary and Eddie.

This is the worst holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Don’t trust the pictures that are on line, they don’t reflect what is really like. So many problems I don’t know where to start. The furniture on the decking was dreadful, it seems as though it hasn’t been treated since it was purchased , you couldn’t use it as you would have splinters from it and no cushions on the chairs. The wardrobe in the twin room was so small it was barely big enough for one person hence I had to live out of my suitcase for the week. The bed linen in the twin room was stiff and crunchy and looked like they had never seen an iron. The dining room chair that I sat on broke the leg snapped and the bar across middle snapped in two. I was very lucky not to have been hurt, further inspection showed that it had been repaired before. We were there last week the hottest week since I don’t know when the owner didn’t even come and offer us a fan considering that we were three elderly ladies I thought that was pretty poor. I could go on but there was so much wrong it would be too much. This was the most expensive place we had ever stayed in and would definitely never stay there again. We made the best of a bad job.
