The Lodge was clean and tidy upon arrival and the beds were were not worn etc. We found that like many holiday cottages the water pressure in the main bathroom shower (not the dedicated shower cubical) was lacking. We have stayed in the holiday park before and while tv reception is poor in any valley, this lodge especially has awful reception, so I would recommend bring some dvds or a laptop to stream from (the tv only allows the netflix app - the i player would not even work). This was not too much of an issue for us as we spent all most of the day out and about until mid to late evening. The facilities on site are very good, the indoor swimming pool is booked online and as such you actually can have some great swims without being completely crowded out of the pool. The only draw back to the holiday park is the parking. There is clear notices in the welcome pack for the lodge stating that you should have one car down at the property and if you have a second car to park it at the top of the hill in the car park. However, it is not monitored, and we found most evenings we were unable to park as there were already 4 cars parked in the spaces for 3 lodges, meaning second cars were being parked outside the lodges. This would not have been too big an issue, but one of our party is disabled and it was both painful and dangerous for them to get up and down the hill night after night. This is something that the park itself needs to address, rather then the individual owner.

We had a good week at honicomb park. The indoor accommodation was clean and usable. The hot tub was an added bonus although we had to sweep the floor and clean the steps upto the hot hub before using it. In places it was a little tired (no batteries in the TV remote or wall clock, tin opener was rusty and broken for example) it also smelt a bit of damp dog but a plug in we brought with us fixed this. The balcony was nice to have but again we had to clean the table before using it also an umbrella would have been good to have. The pub on site was lovely, we had the Sunday carvery which we really enjoyed. Staff were lovely. Also the indoor and outdoor pools and games room were a hit with our teens. Lovely rural location with good access to lots of lovely places to visit via the A390. We recommend Louis tea room just up the road (scones the size of your head!) Although rural also meant no internet which wasn't a problem for us but may bother others. The wifi was none existent our whole stay and even data struggled to connect so plan ahead of coming as we had done and book thing from home. We then found it not to be a problem. Overall we were happy with our stay and would go again, it worked for us.

It would have been nice if there was a washing machine as there was a dishwasher which is more of a luxuryWe had to fix the shower head ourselves, but once screwed in was fine. Overall lovely holiday park, friendly locals, nice reasonably priced pub and the hot tub was a nice bonus.
