We had a lovely holiday here. The lodge was in a nice place to visits lots of places. The lodge itself is comfortable and comes with extras such a towels but it is in need of some repairs, for example the hoover was not working, some of the jets on the hot tub were also not working. It also says it has a TV however the signal is so bad it makes it unwatchable.

Bad: The upstairs smelt, the kitchen tap was loose and hot water was an issue. The shower head was floppy, the laminate on a chest of drawers was coming off. A light bulb in a bedroom did not work. Spiders in every corner. Other peoples hair was floating around the hot tub, some of the jets did not work. A mirror had come off the wall and was hid in a cupboard leaving exposed holes on the wall where it should have been. Good: nice size fridge and freezer. The balcony was nice. The onsite pub was good, great food and drinks. Staff friendly and helpful. Not worth what we paid for it, expected much much more for what we paid.

Cottage itself was lovely. The reverse layout putting the bedrooms downstairs was a godsend in the heatwave as the bedrooms kept cool and sleep was therefore achieved! On that note, the double mattress was super comfy too. The living quarters upstairs were HOT and would have benefited from a fan... but of course no shops had any left to sell us!Equipment wise, the vacuum cleaner and can opener did not work and we could not get all of the jets on the hottub to jet (this may just have been inexperience on our part) everything else seemed fineWe ended up not using the onsite facility so cannot review them. Locally there's a small asda express and further out a big tesco for food shopping. Nice to have a decent size freezer so we could buy ice cream 🍦
