Regatta Cottage is situated in a tranquil position between Feock and Devoran, on the shores of Restronguet Creek at Point. It is part of an historic Grade II listed building with wonderful views of the creek and woodland on the opposite shore. The spacious living-dining room has a wood-burning stove and views of the creek and the kitchen has a door on the other side of the cottage leading to another part of the garden. At ground level there are two twin bedrooms and a shower-room. Head upstairs to a third bedroom – a double with TV and those lovely creek views, and a family bathroom.
The cottage has enclosed gardens front and back and waterside lawn for daydreaming, breakfast or launching your own small lift-able boats. Boats can be hired locally. Pub, 1 mile. A wonderfully peaceful base for bird or creek-watching or messing about on the water. Why not have a day at nearby National Trust's Trelissick Gardens or use the King Harry Ferry to the Roseland Peninsula. Perhaps a creek-side walk or a day in Truro, Cornwall's only city.
Feock is a picture book village on the Carrick Roads. Almost hidden in trees, the village lazily watches over the extensive Fal estuary with creeks and open sea beyond.

Such an amazing setting, right on the river. Comfortable, warm and cosy, with a wood burner which we didnât need. Decorations for Christmas were a lovely touch - thank you. We think we may need to visit in the summer so that we can make use of the garden tables - bit too chilly again in December! Thoroughly recommend this cottage - still the best weâve found!

Unfortunately the downstairs rooms in the cottage smells musty due to dampness. The lounge chairs and sofas are past their best, not comfortable and also do not smell nice. The WiFi is unreliable, providing only an intermittent service. The old windows have secondary double glazing, they have mould and mildew growing on them between the panes, we would have liked to open a window in the lounge and the upstairs bedroom but we think that they would have broken had we tried. The owner was very kind and came promptly when we called him to say that we were cold and he put the heating on for us. The cottage is highly rated on the Sykes website and certainly not cheap, overall we are sorry to say that we were disappointed.

Iâve stayed in various cottages/ places in Cornwall but Regatta Cottage trumps them all. Itâs so well equipped and every detail has been carefully thought of, itâs so cosy and so homely you felt that it was a home not a rental. I wish that I had booked a second week there, the views are amazing, itâs so peaceful and you can watch the world go by in total relaxation. Watching the paddle boarders and wild swimmers from the front garden was great. A lovely touch was a call from the owner before our stay to introduce himself and another a few days in to check all was going well. Welcoming fresh flowers and a cream tea was a lovely touch. Will definitely be booking 2 weeks next year.
