We had a lovely short 4 night break. There were a couple of issues - we had booked a chalet that said it sleeps 6 but on arrival there were only 5 beds. We didn’t complain and made it work as there were only 5 of us but it did mean two of our children had to top and tail, if they’d been any older this wouldn’t have worked and it would have been a problem but it was fine this time around. The water pressure in the chalet was a bit iffy, if someone was in the shower the water in the kitchen would only drip out. Likewise if someone turned a tap on while someone was in the shower it would suddenly change to freezing cold water or boiling hot. Again only a minor issue in the grand scheme of things and as we were only there for a short time not worth complaining about. Now for the positives - of which there are many! The staff on site were so lovely and helpful, made us feel really welcome from the minute we arrived. The chalet was clean and well equipped, so lovely and peaceful at night time it’s a really quiet site. The Old Forge pub on site has something to do every night if you fancy it including rock and roll bingo and a disco. The food is reasonably priced and nice, with lots of options. We didn’t use the pool but saw lots of people enjoying it. There is a very small honesty shop which has the essentials but larger supermarkets are not far at all if you need to get some food in. It’s in a great location near St Michael’s Mount and in a good spot to hop in the car and explore nearby coves and places. We highly recommend Poldhu Cove for a beach day, it’s beautiful!

Basic but clean, and everything you need.

We were very satisfied with our bungalow. There was everything that you would need, including hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The bed linen was pristine and a clean change of linen was left for our second week. A tea towel, little bottle of washing up liquid and a dish cloth were there for our arrival. It was clean and the heating (we needed it) was nice and warm. Good shower, sink and toilet in the bathroom. The only thing that, in my opinion, was lacking was a mirror in the bedroom.
