Hafod is a charming and well-equipped cottage in St Just, offering beautiful sea views and direct access to coastal walks. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches, making it feel like a home away from home. The location is ideal for exploring Cornwall, with the village centre and amenities close by. While parking can be tight and the fireplace is electric rather than wood-burning, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Multiple guests describe the cottage as super clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with no negative comments about cleanliness.
The property is praised for its proximity to the village centre, coastal paths, and scenic views, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.
Guests highlight the cottage's cosy atmosphere, comfortable furnishings, and spaciousness, with only minor disappointment regarding the electric fireplace.
The cottage is well-equipped and has most amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Some guests note the lack of streaming services on the TV and the electric fireplace, but overall facilities are highly rated.
Reviewers mention attention to detail and generous extra touches, though please note that gifts or extras are not guaranteed with every stay.

Welcome to Hafod, a beautiful Victorian house with panoramic sea views and within walking distance to the town of St Just, the nearest village to Land’s End. You don’t need to go far as you have a variety of shops including a supermarket, a gallery, tea rooms and cafés, plus three pubs, as well as a free public car park in the village. You can leave the car and catch the local buses; you may find this easier in peak summer as you won’t have to worry about parking! The property has stunning sea views at the front of the house, and at the rear is a private secured courtyard which leads to the parking area. On the first floor are three bedrooms and the family bathroom with rainfall shower, whilst downstairs the living room benefits from having sea views. The large dining area leads to a well-equipped modern kitchen with access to the private garden patio. For those not wanting to eat out, you will find everything you need to rustle up a homely meal - you just need to decide if you want to eat al fresco or sit around the large table. This is an ideal location to explore the rugged coastline of Cape Cornwall. The coastal paths and walks have remnants of the tin mining that was produced in the area. Geever Tin Mine in Pendeen is 2¾ miles away, well worth a visit, and is surrounded by fantastic scenery and coastal walks. Whilst you are here you can also visit the Pendeen Lighthouse. Just over 6 miles away is Land’s End, which is a brilliant day out for all ages. It’s the most westerly point of the UK and home to the famous signpost, John O’ Groats to Land’s End. Dogs on leads are welcome here, but not allowed in the indoor attractions. Five miles away is Sennen Cove, popular with families as the beach has a gentle slope and rock pools as well as being the most westerly point for surfers. It has a seasonal dog ban, but around the corner is Gwynver Beach which is dog friendly and much quieter. Just over 8 miles away is the stunning beach of Porthcurno, with turquoise water and white sand surrounded by cliffs making this one of the most beautiful beaches. Suitable for surfers and experienced swimmers only, due to the steep shelving, and not suitable for people with mobility issues since the trek down to the beach is accessed along a coastal path which is steep. If you are a fan of the TV series ‘Poldark’ you will be familiar with the landscapes, as there is a lot of history in the area including folk tales of witches at Kenidjack and piskies leading mortals astray. There is so much to do walking, surfing, cycling, water sports and pony trekking, if you play golf bring your clubs and have a game Cape Cornwall golf course a mile down the lane. Artists are drawn to the area throughout the year, and you will find local galleries and studios in the area. Whatever you choose to do, come back to Haford and either curl up in front of the wood burner or sit outside watching the amazing skies while you plan your adventures for the next day. Beach 1¼ miles. Pub and restaurant 530 yards.

Hafod is a superb property in a beautiful part of Cornwall. The property was super clean and well-equipped.The housekeeper was on hand if needed, and she was able to sort out a small problem efficiently and effectively. Hafod is certainly a property that I would return to.

We had a lovely holiday in Saint Just. The cottage was comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all supplies we needed to feel right at home. The only isue and major disappointment for us was there wasnt a wood fireplace. In the reservation it listed the heating as an indoor fireplace. And, in the pictures of the cottage there is wood next to the fireplace which made it seem like there was definitely a working wood fireplace . It turned out it was electric with real wood and even an ax next to the wood. We felt so sad to discover this as the main reason we chose this cottage was the thought of sitting in front of a cozy fire in the evenings . I learned a big leson to ask next time . The coastal paths and gorgeous ocean and cliffs were spectacular.
