This is a lovely house in a lovely position and the owner couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. The house could do with some attention to fine details and more TLC.Although it wasn't open during our visit it should be brought to the attention of potential renters that from the first of April there is a busy and functioning camp site to the rear of the property that one drives through for access.

The Captain’s House is very well equipped and generally very comfortable for our week’s stay. The views are great and there is walking on the coast path from the doorstep. Local amenities are very good, and we enjoyed 2 rounds of golf at quirky Cape Cornwall Club nearby. The wood fired hot tub proved too difficult to use as being a very cold and windy New Year we couldn’t stay outside continuously to monitor the fire and so it burned down easily and resulted in only tepid water. As it was so cold I don’t know how much it would have been used though.
