About this property

Teach Tra West is a charming, pet-friendly, ground-floor apartment resting in the heart of Perranporth, Cornwall. Ideal for couples or friends in search of a seaside retreat, this inviting base boasts an open-plan layout, a sofa bed for added flexibility, and easy access to local conveniences, including the nearby beach. As you approach your holiday home, soak up the sweeping countryside backdrop. Step inside to discover the stylish kitchen area, finished with contemporary grey units and equipped with everything needed to create a memorable meal for someone special. Make the most of the peaceful outlook by stepping out onto the patio for an alfresco dinner, accompanied by the gentle coastal air.

After dining, move over to the sitting area, where a wooden feature wall and inviting corner sofa create a splendid setting to unwind, and map out your plans for the days ahead. Freshen up in the sleek shower room, washing away any remnants of sand and sun before bedtime. The bedroom mirrors the natural décor, showcasing a wooden statement wall, a double bed, and patio doors that lead outside. For those travelling with a friend, the sofa bed offers additional sleeping options. Slip beneath the soft covers and drift off peacefully. In the morning, sip your first cup of tea while admiring the scenic surroundings.

With the beach just behind the apartment, take your four-legged companion for a morning wander across the dunes as the sun rises. After a blissful day by the sea, amble back through the sand dunes to Teach Tra West and chill out through the evening. Note: This property can be booked with ref. 1184401, together sleeping four guests.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
