The Carlyon Bay Hotel is nearby and has bars, restaurants and a golf course that overlooks the sea. The historic village of Charlestown with its pubs, museum, restaurants and shops is nearby and is home to traditional tall ships which are often moored at the quay. The seafaring towns of Fowey, Truro, Padstow, St Ives, Looe, Polperro, Newquay, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and many National Trust houses and gardens are all within easy reach. Cycling, sailing, kayaking and horse riding are available locally. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

It was a lovely place to stay, walking in both directions along the South West Coastal Path and the beaches were lovely. Fab walk along to Par Beach with the doggos. Nice. Only one thing would have made it nicer and this is not a complaint but something we have had on numerous occasions as we have used cottages.com many times would have been a kind of welcome pack- tea/coffee/milk/salt/pepper- the real basic cupboard ‘stuff’. Cleaners were at the door for 9.30 am on the dot so be prepared for that!!
