Guests say

Flat 18 Pochin House in St Austell offers a comfortable and spacious stay with great views, well-equipped for exploring nearby attractions like the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. While some guests found the flat to be clean and in great condition, others noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with some guests satisfied and others pointing out issues such as cobwebs, dirty appliances, and a lack of cleaning supplies. This suggests room for improvement.

The location is praised for its proximity to local attractions and coastal walks, making it a great base for exploring the area. However, the lack of immediate dog exercise areas slightly impacts the score.

Guests describe the flat as spacious and comfortable, but some concerns about the size of the en-suite shower and accessibility features for those with disabilities have been raised.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and added bonuses like an air fryer. However, some guests noted a lack of cooking equipment and issues with maintenance.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The beaches at Carlyon Bay, Duporth and Par have expanses of white to golden sand, coves and cliff top walks. Charlestown transports you back to a time when tall ships would depart to far off shores and still has a small fleet of these beautiful vessels today. Here there are restaurants and pubs, and the Shipwreck Museum is well worth a visit. St Austell has a large range of shops and eateries, whilst a little along the coast lies Fowey within an area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You will find narrow streets, boutique shops and superb architecture, superb sea views and its very own wonderfully named Readymoney Cove.

Lovely spacious comfortable flat.We used it as a base to walk the South West Coast Path from Roseland peninsula to Charlestown.

An enjoyable stay with great views from the kitchen but : more cooking equipment would have helped , for example, we bought a frying pan (which we left), a steamer basket was available yet with no pan to go with it. My husband left a message with the contact number we were given but received no response. Visitors staying with dogs need to be aware that exercising them within the grounds is forbidden. There are no places to exercise dogs in the immediate area. The flat is within gated grounds so visitors should be prepared to walk a distance to exercise their dog/s. If visitors enjoy coastal walks and visiting gardens, for example, Pinetum gardens, Heligan and Eden project, all are within easy driving distance.
