Set in a prime position on the seaward side of Carbis Bay this ground floor apartment is just a short walk from the award-winning, Blue Flag, Carbis Bay Beach. Sleeping two, it’s perfect for couples with an infant, or for those who are looking for romantic break. The sitting and dining area are part of the open plan living space and flooded with natural light through the large bay window. Step though the French door to a private terrace with sea glimpses across St Ives Bay. This sun trap is also accessible from the bedroom. Inside relax on the large sofa or cream leather armchair with matching footstool and enjoy the entertainment package of Sky Movies and Sport. The dining area is located within the spacious living area, there is a glass table provided with four aqua chairs. A fully fitted and well-equipped rear kitchen ensures you have everything you need to create your culinary masterpieces. The master en-suite bedroom has a sumptuously dressed king size bed to ensure a good night’s sleep. Step out from the bedroom onto your private terrace for a romantic alfresco breakfast. A delightful way to start the morning. In the evening, take a glass of wine on to the shared terrace that fronts Compass Point and watch the sunset over St Ives. Access to the dramatic SW Coast path is nearby along with a coastal railway. Enjoy reaching the beautiful Cornish fishing village of St Ives and surrounding area via one of the country’s most scenic train lines. Beach Retreat provides a romantic hideaway for both couples and young families.

Resting on the North Cornish coast, between the bustling towns of Hayle and St Ives, is the seaside village of Carbis Bay. A wonderful destination, thanks to its stunning beach, access to the South West Coastal Path and a nature reserve, Carbis Bay is truly an excellent destination for a coastal break. The village additionally hosts an Ocean Sports Centre for those watersports enthusiasts, along with a hotel hosting a spa, when you want to feel pampered.

    Small point, the main door and the two patio door latches need oiling, all three are difficult to lock fully, otherwise well maintained and homely. My first trip on my own for 4 years, very relaxing and so many lovely memories.

    Not necessarily ideal for those with mobility issues. Apartment was lovely with a comfortable bed and well set up for a self catering holiday. Close to train station which takes you into St Ives in less than 5 minutes for £2 return so no need to take the car out unnecessary, parking at the complex was good and we had no issues during our stay. The coastal path to St Ives is a nice walk too. The only issue we had is the same experienced in most holiday lets, the turn around only allows for a general clean when a deep clean for items such as skirting boards, doors and grouting often get overlooked, it would enhance the property if time was allowed for this on a more regular basis but overall the cleanliness was ok.
