Deceptively spacious, sea views and an extensive south facing private garden with a delightful deck & terrace. Ideal for families or small groups of friends, but not too large that a couple would feel uncomfortable staying here. The property is private and therefore offers a great retreat whilst being within walking distance of all the facilities of the village. With an open fireplace, double glazing and central heating, Brigids Patch is also a fine place to stay during the winter. With its elevated position overlooking Summers Beach and the Percuil River, views toward the St Anthony’s Lighthouse and the Lizard, its extensive private gardens and delightful south facing terrace, Brigids Patch is one of the prime self-catering holiday homes of St Mawes.

There are some fine walks to be had from the property. Walk to St Just in Roseland and its delightful church and cemetery. You can easily reach the start of the footpath from Brigids Patch which descends and joins the coastal path north for about 45 minutes to St Just Creek. It is an 8–10-minute walk down to the St Mawes harbour area with its good range of facilities including butcher, baker, chemist, store, post office and pubs. It is no more than a 2-minute walk to the famous Lamorran Gardens or 5 minutes to St Mawes Castle and views over the spectacular Carrick Roads.

St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall. Situated overlooking an idyllic bay on the eastern side of the famous Falmouth Estuary, St Mawes has one of the mildest climates in Britain due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry viii and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. Beach 2 miles. Please note: There is mention of open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs.

Another lovely stay at Brigids Patch The climbUnfortunately weather very unkind Dogs love the garden

Brigids Patch has much to commend it with its great location, spacious and dog safe garden and wonderful outlook, but for us it was a mistake. For us at 80 the stairs are too steep and there is no toilet upstairs, the downstairs bedroom does have and en-suite but it is not a particularly attractive room, we did however use both double bedrooms, but if the person upstairs needs the loo in the night they have to risk life and limb on the stairs.
