Alternatively, for a day of shopping, head to the bustling market town of Truro, home to an array of shops, eateries and attractions, such as the Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro Cathedral and the Truro River Cruise. Spend your days uncovering the beauty of Cornwall, with Kelsey as the perfect base.

Once an important pilchard-fishing village, today Portscatho is a popular holiday destination for those seeking a traditional seaside location. Brimming with Cornish charm, there is a sandy beach and a harbour, as well as a pub, a butcher’s, a greengrocer’s and a handful of gift shops and galleries. The coastline here is most scenic, with hidden coves, secret beaches and mile upon mile of undulating coastal footpath. The village of Gerrans is just a short stroll along the shore, and the beautiful Porthcurnick beach is also accessible via the coast path from Porthscatho. Portscatho offers a holiday away from it all, with a welcoming community spirit and several annual events which everyone gets involved with – including the fish festival each August.

It was clean and tidy in arrival with some lovely welcoming local groceries and all the essentials so we could put off going to the shops until after our morning tea! We have a 2 yr old and a 10 month old. It felt very practical having a travel cot and high chair available. We brought a stair gate but didn’t need it as the main living area and kitchen have doors to close off the exits. Beautiful location, fantastic outdoors space, practical and cosy. We knew the area and what was on over the weekend - it was really buzzy spot being so close to the pub and restaurants. Able to walk to beach in minutes. Right in the heart of the village. Near to local beaches and

Beautiful beaches and walks on the doorstep - no need to drive and parked car for free 5 mins walk up the hill. Front garden has bench and seats for morning coffees and evening drinks in sunshine and rear patio a private suntrap with sofa and table. Enjoyed dining table in sunny bay window watching the local scene. Cosy with underfloor heating downstairs and in bathroom. Front double bedroom is spacious and rear double bedroom has the bunk room attached.

Clean and comfy but spacious enough not to feel cramped. All amenities thought of and I am sure outside space would be lovely when there is sun too. *May be awkward with parties of six with one bedroom leading off of another.
