The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay, and the adjoining dining area, with its original beams and stone fireplace, adds a cozy, rustic feel. A stylish family bathroom with a shower completes the downstairs accommodation.

Upstairs, you’ll find two beautifully presented bedrooms: the master offers views across the surrounding countryside, while the second bedroom has twin beds that can be made into a double, offering flexibility for families or friends travelling together. Step outside and you’ll find a private garden with sun loungers and a bistro table, perfect for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or alfresco dining under the stars.

Penda also welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs (additional charge per dog applies), making it an ideal retreat for pet owners. With dog-friendly beaches like Portscatho and Porthcurnick close by, complete with rock pools and coastal trails, your four-legged companions will be just as happy as you.

The Roseland Peninsula is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and one of Cornwall’s most scenic and serene regions. A short drive takes you to the picturesque fishing village of Portscatho, known for its sheltered sandy beach, local galleries, and a traditional pub. A little further along the coast lies St Mawes, a lively harbour village with excellent dining, boutique shops, and the impressive St Mawes Castle, built by Henry viii. From here, you can catch a passenger ferry to Falmouth, a vibrant town brimming with maritime heritage, shops, galleries, and waterfront eateries. Alternatively, take the scenic King Harry Ferry across the River Fal to visit Trelissick Garden, a stunning National Trust property with woodland walks and panoramic river views. The Roseland is also home to some beautiful and lesser-known gardens, such as Lamorran Gardens in St Mawes and the colourful Poppy Cottage Garden near Ruan High Lanes.
