The White House is located 75 metres from the beach and 5 minutes walk away from the St Mawes harbour, pubs, restaurants and village shops. It has magnificent sea views overlooking the St Mawes castle, village, harbour and out to sea, a perfect place to watch the world sail by! Imagine an evening glass of wine, sitting on the balcony, with those amazing views and the sun drifting down over St Mawes Castle, the light glistening across St Mawes Bay and yachts at anchor! The beautiful mature and private gardens offer a large outdoor dining area with a balcony and patio for alfresco dining alongside huge grass lawns with mature flower beds making them a joy to spend time in! It is also an ideal location for those wanting to get out on the water as it is just a 5-minute walk to the St Mawes Sailing Club Quay. St Mawes is ideal for those of you wanting to get in the water for sailing lessons, boat hire, water sports eg paddle boards, kayaks, RIB hire, fishing trips or taking a relaxing ferry ride to one of many local exciting destinations it is all on your doorstep. We've been coming to St Mawes for many years and to the White House for the last 6. It's in a fantastic position with wonderful views; easy to drop down to Summers Beach and the village and harbour; and all set in a lovely garden plus ample off-road parking. Perfect for a relaxing family holiday for all ages!

I appreciate this is an odd house, but I did feel that some areas needed a freshen up. On entering the house there is quite a musty smell. The cupboards had some open half used packets of food in them and there were sliced lemons and strawberries in the freezer.However, the beds were very comfortable and the linen and towels were very fresh. The location of the house was perfect. I feel the house would benefit from some sunloungers to enable you to make full use of the lovely gardens.

We had a wonderful week staying at the White House. We so enjoyed the veranda, the garden, and the views a cross to Place, and towards St Mawes Castle. The bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Most of all it was fascinating 1920s home, fit for the Great Gatsby himself.
