About this property

Hartgrove Farm Bungalow is located on Trinity Hill in East Devon, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty bordering the county of Dorset and the nearby town of Lyme Regis. Sleeping up to 9 guests, this wonderful property is cleverly configured as 2 separate dwellings making this a wonderful option for two families or groups of friends wishing to share holiday experiences together. Set within its own grounds on a working farm, this is a delightful rural location with popular beaches, seaside towns, fishing villages, and the dramatic UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast all just a car ride away. Finished to an exceptional standard throughout, both cottages are individually styled with open-plan living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and dining areas. With underfloor heating throughout, the cottages are positioned around an expansive garden and have bi-folding doors which lead out to the sociable patio space, where the large table and chairs create the perfect spot for coming together and enjoying the most tranquil of settings. The first of the two cottages is a bright and spacious home with high vaulted ceilings and exposed timbers, feature lighting and tasteful furnishings. The two bedrooms offer flexible sleeping options with a spacious king-size bedroom and a twin room, which can be made up as a super-king. The stylish bathroom has a bath, with a shower over giving you a choice between an evening dip in the tub or a quick steamy rinse. The second is finished with the same consideration for guests’ comfort with a delightful seating area, vaulted ceilings, and an impressive wood-burning stove. The two bedrooms can sleep up to five guests, with the first bedroom, a family room having a both king-size bed and a single bed. The second bedroom is also a spacious king-size. Outside, the garden is dotted with beautiful trees, shrubs and cottage-style planting with extensive lawns and patio seating areas where alfresco dining can be enjoyed. Please make time to say hello to Jamie the sheep. The Trinity Hill Nature Reserve offers beautiful woodland walks with a variety of forest tracks to explore plus areas of open heathland dedicated to wildlife. Home to River Cottage, the Kitchen & Store is a perfect spot to drop by for breakfast or drinks and cakes. River Cottage, renowned for the TV series offers a range of dining experiences tucked amongst the rolling Devon countryside. When it comes to days out, the nearby coastal resort of Lyme Regis offers something for everyone. The family-friendly beaches are popular with bathers and water sports enthusiasts or those preferring more leisurely days why not take a stroll around the famous Cobb harbour, the iconic backdrop to many films and TV adaptations? You will also find a superb choice of restaurants and pubs plus a good selection of independent shops and galleries. The pretty fishing village of Beer is another great choice with its limestone cliffs and beach, where it is easy to lose a few hours sitting in a deckchair watching the local fishermen hauling their catches ashore. Hartgrove Farm Bungalow is the ultimate location for friends and families looking for a holiday to remember.

Musbury is a small village in East Devon lying between the towns of Axminster and Seaton with much of the surrounding unspoilt countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (aonb), and the centre of the village is a designated Conservation Area. There are plenty of spectacular walks in the surrounding landscape of wooded combes, vast areas of heathland, fertile river valleys and breathtaking cliffs or hilltops. The area is rich in wildlife with local nature reserves providing sanctuaries for birdlife including ospreys around the Axe estuary. From Musbury Castle, a hill fort above the village, there are spectacular views of the Axe Valley. Musbury is three miles from picturesque Seaton Bay with its mile long shingle beach on the Jurassic Coastline, a natural World Heritage Site. The bungalow is perfectly nestled in a peaceful, countryside setting, offering a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Yet, close to all the tourist spots. The bungalow itself consists of two separate units in an L-shape that were perfect for a large family. The sleek, contemporary design of the bungalows perfectly complement the serene farm surroundings. Inside, both bungalows are all the latest amenities, including two fully equipped kitchens, stylish furnishings, and spacious living areas. The modern touches, from chic décor to high-tech facilities, ensure a luxurious stay. The hosts have truly created an ideal escape, balancing modern convenience with the tranquility of farm life. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful yet sophisticated retreat!
