The Boat Shed in Devon is highly praised for its cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the friendly owners, the lovely garden, and the proximity to local attractions. The property offers stunning sea views and is well-equipped for a comfortable stay. While most reviews are positive, there is a single mention of dampness and cleanliness issues, which seems to be an isolated case.
The majority of guests have reported the property to be very clean, with only one review mentioning issues with dampness and cleanliness. This appears to be an outlier, as the consistent praise suggests high standards of cleanliness are typically maintained.
The location is frequently highlighted as excellent, with its proximity to Beer and Seaton, stunning sea views, and easy access to local walks. The picturesque setting and convenience for exploring Devon and Dorset contribute to its high rating.
Comfort is well-regarded, with mentions of a cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, there are comments about soft single beds and low, soft sofas that were less suitable for elderly guests, which slightly lowers the score.
Facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and maintained, with a few guests noting the quick repair of a radiator and the provision of entertainment items. Some remarks about older appliances suggest room for improvement, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs.
Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches like welcome cream teas, chocolates, and Prosecco. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Near Seaton in south Devon, you'll find the charming fishing village of Beer. Because of its location between two limestone cliffs, the shingle beach was originally a prime area for smuggling, and the neighbouring caverns, which are today visited by tourists, once housed valuable contraband. Beer is a small village in Devon, England, notable for its location on the Jurassic Coast, a length of coastline that is a unesco World Heritage Site, and its winding lanes lined with attractive stone houses and cottages built at varying elevations of the steep valley sides. Beer has a variety of stores, cafes, restaurants, and bars to choose from, and the nearby Pecorama Gardens, set on a hill with a view of Lyme Bay, are a major tourist attraction. There is a children's play area and an inside model train exhibit for adults and kids alike at Pecorama's Beer Heights Light Railway. A nice destination to visit and stay is the picturesque fishing village of Beer in Devon.

Garlands is a beautiful house in a perfect location with stunning views and within easy walking distance of the picturesque village of Beer. Not for the infirm though â¦. every which way is steep! There are three lovely cottages available for rent, clean and comfortable, perfect for a short getaway. The owners are welcoming and friendly as is their lovely dog Louis! They even arranged good weather for us! Believe me, you wonât find anywhere better! Book now

It is a comfortable, quiet (important!), and restful place with close access to the village and beyond by car or, if one is ambitious, by foot. The owners are welcoming and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Some lovely views. Great position to explore Devon and Dorset. Very comfortable, and a big garden the owners let you share with them and other guests of the other apartments. Although we seemed to be only ones on holiday that seemed to make use of it. Will book to stay again.
