Guests generally appreciate the cottage's prime location in Dartmouth, cleanliness, and the added convenience of on-site parking, despite it being tight for larger vehicles. The property is well-equipped and comfortable, with efficient response to maintenance issues. The outdoor space and parking challenges are noted, but the central position and overall quality of the cottage make it a recommended stay.
The cottage is consistently described as very clean, with several guests highlighting the cleanliness of the interior. One mention of an unclean outdoor area slightly impacts the score.
The location is highly praised for its centrality and convenience to local amenities and attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Dartmouth.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, although there are a few mentions of hard beds and one instance of discomfort due to personal health issues.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being well-equipped. However, there are some concerns about maintenance issues such as the boiler and appliance instructions not being found, which slightly lowers the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.

This was the first time we stayed at this house but it definitely won't be the last. The property was central to everything. The only downfall was parking at the front of the property but if you were very carefull you could park at the rear where there was secure parking. Outside space was also private. Looking forward to staying there again.
Nicola
Parking was not a problem for me as I have a small car.. The only problem is that the beds were very uncomfortable .
