Set in historic Warfleet overlooking the Creek, this famous Grade II listed building has been a paper mill, a bakery, an outstanding brewery and, most recently, the Dartmouth Pottery. Picturesque Dartmouth is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Pottery, with stunning views of the River Dart along the way, and, in the other direction, you're only a short distance from the Dartmouth Castle and tearooms.

Adjacent to the property is a small communal seating area, or take a short walk down to picturesque Warfleet where you can enjoy ample benches with waterside views, a small beach and rock pools at low tide. Perfect for a relaxing break.

A few suggestions on how the experience could be improved: the ensuite shower - the sealing silicon needs attention and the rusting wall holder is rusty and requires replacement; rugs throughout the apartment are showing signs of use and need a clean; the large Ikea clock in the kitchen is not working - not fixed by changing the battery; the drying rack adjacent to the kitchen sink is not 'inviting'. Comments offered to be helpful. We had a great time and would visit again.

Location good for us but may not suit others. Didn't appreciate the over regular and dictatorial emails from Sykes cottages dictating what we do and when .

The property is clean and tidy at eye level, we just felt certain areas were being overlooked. On arrival, we were unpacking fridge items and had to clean it again as there were areas of food remaining. Our pillows in the master bedroom had no pillow protectors on them, and the duvet cover was ripped. The rug also in our bedroom has been there for years and is in need of a clean or replacement. The en-suite shower is in need of new sealant, all just looked a little tired. I spoke with Sykes regarding access to the property as Warfleet road has been closed since the 11/3/24, due to the road collapsing, no one had been told about this problem, so you have to go the long way round to enter the potteries. There has also been a lot of works vehicle near the entrance, so be careful on exiting the car park. I have taken photos if the owner wishes to see them, Iâm sure heâd appreciate some honest feedback.
