About this property

There is nothing quite like sitting outside on the sheltered sunny terrace of this lovingly refurbished Fisherman’s cottage.

Relax with the papers or watch the world go by from a waterfront gem - it's dog friendly too!

7 Victoria Quay has been a family holiday home for over 50 years and it has bags of character being an early 19th century, Grade II listed Fisherman’s Cottage. This is one of very few holiday homes that sits along the sea wall of Victoria Quay which basks in sunshine due to its south facing position.

With epic views over the estuary, past the Salcombe Lifeboat towards the beaches of East Portlemouth and the South Pool creek, this is a very well-positioned cottage. 7 Victoria Quay is situated only a couple of minutes level walk from the high street of Salcombe with its independent food shops, restaurants and clothes shops. Pick up passengers by boat from the quayside and head off to the beach for the day.

The cottage is perfect for small groups, families or couples wanting to get away for a break and sleeps up to six guests in two bedrooms. Children will simply love crabbing over the sea wall just outside the gate of 7 Victoria Quay. Perhaps a good time for parents to pour that all important glass of something?!

Entering the property through a wrought iron gate you will be on the terrace of the cottage. On the ground floor, there is a comfortable sitting room with views from the sash window. The combined kitchen and dining room is set-up perfectly for entertaining in the evenings. Out the back of the cottage (over a shared alleyway) is the utility room and a large walk in shower.

Upstairs is the magic of the master bedroom which has a super king bed and staggering views out of the sash window over the quay, Salcombe lifeboat, estuary and over to the beaches. There is constant activity on the water which is fascinating to watch. In the second bedroom are two adult size bunk beds. Both bedrooms share the family bathroom and the downstairs shower room.

only one small/medium dog welcome, at an additional charge.

Complimentary long stay car parking permit provided.

If you love the look of 7 Victoria Quay but can't quite fill both of the bedrooms, there is a reduced occupancy version of the house sleeping 2 guests in 1 bedroom called Lifeboat Cottage.

I had a great week at this wonderful accommodation. The location was perfect, and we felt so welcomed when friends could drop by for coffee as they passed through. The place was incredibly comfortable and relaxing, providing everything we needed for a restful stay. The concierge support was spot on, resolving a query within the hour. Love the flowers, a beautiful welcome which made me smile and relax! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cosy and inviting retreat!

First and foremost - the best position in Salcombe! We walked on the flat into the town to fetch bread and milk, then had breakfast each day outside in the protected garden.

Recently stayed at 7 Victoria Quay and had a lovely few days. The cottage is cosy yet stylish with wonderful views across the estuary. Lovely to lie in bed in the morning enjoying the sunrise!
