Dory Cottage in Salcombe, Devon, receives mixed reviews but is generally appreciated for its excellent location, comfortable furnishings, and the bonus of private parking. Guests love the convenience to shops and restaurants, the well-equipped kitchen, and the cosy atmosphere. Some concerns about cleanliness and maintenance are noted, yet many guests report a clean and welcoming environment, with several returning visits.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage spotless, while others report it as not clean with dust and dirt in places. The inconsistency leads to a moderate score.
The location is highly praised for being central, convenient, and close to local amenities, with the added benefit of private parking, making it an ideal base for exploring Salcombe.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living spaces cosy. However, some guests mention issues with a small double room and hard mattresses.
