Beautifully converted from a former barn, this stunning property retains plenty of character with beams, stone walls and feature floors and is presented to a very high standard. From your doorstep, meander down the track and through the cornfield to the secluded Berry Beach. With its sandy gullies and shingle beach, you can while away the days here, rock pooling, boogie boarding, fishing or just relaxing with a good book. There are many circular walks through leafy green lanes, ancient woodland footpaths, bridleways and the South West Coastal Path. You can take in sights such as Hartland Point Lighthouse, Damehole Point, where the final scene of the film ’King Arthur’ was shot starring Kiera Knightley and Clive Owen, Berry Head and Blackpool Mill, where much of the BBC series ’Sense and Sensibility’ was filmed. A 40-minute walk from Blegberry along the coast path will take you to Hartland Quay, with its Maritime Museum, gift shop and pub, family friendly beach and breathtaking views. Why not enjoy a traditional pub lunch and a pint and then meander your way back through the beautiful ancient abbey woods.

Children will love the donkeys Margot, Mavis and Elvis they are a favourite with visitors to Blegberry. There is also a large playing field, and everyone will have fun in the indoor play barn complete with skittle alley, table tennis and pool table, as well as a play area for the little ones. The famous sandy surfing beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are an easy drive and for family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are close by. There are numerous National Trust properties in the area, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Clovelly, with its quaint cobbled streets and picturesque harbour, is a must. The village of Hartland is just 3 miles and has a good selection of village shops and pubs, all serving local produce. The new film The Salt Path starring Gillian Anderson was partly filmed here. We had a fantastic time at Atlantic House. We were a group of adults in our 60s. Keen walkers and loved the vicinity to the coastal path, the wonderful views, sunsets and really clear, dark skies. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the hot tub after a long walk. The beds were comfy and the house warm and well equipped. We had a supermarket shop delivered which worked well as the shops are a bit of a drive away. We would definitely recommend.

Fantastic property with glorious views of the sea. Property was extremely well equipped and we appreciated the welcome pack including prosecco and beer. Hot tub was cleaned daily. Great place for a large family to meet up. Kids loved the play barn and outdoor park area. Supermarkets about half hour. Hartland village has 3 pubs a fish and chip shop and a couple of little shops. This is a couple of miles away by car. Would recommend and will return.
