Guests say

Stonewood Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, including the thoughtful touches for dog owners. The lodge's spaciousness and quality furnishings are frequently mentioned, alongside its proximity to nature and local attractions.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge is consistently described as clean and tidy, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. A few minor comments about cobwebs and dust do not detract significantly from the overall high standard of cleanliness.

The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to nature, with easy access to local attractions. The peaceful setting is a recurring theme, although the remote nature means some planning is required for shopping.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the lodge relaxing and the beds comfortable. The presence of a 'lazy boy' sofa and other cosy furnishings contribute to the overall comfort experienced by visitors.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and entertainment options like smart TVs and Wi-Fi. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for additional items are noted, but these do not significantly impact the positive feedback.

While many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful provisions, especially for dogs, there is no mention of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to score this category based on the provided information.

Ideal base to venture out and about. Great fishing ponds within 1 min drive. Spoke to Clare the owner, very nice lady, will go above and beyond to make sure you have a great break. Cannot fault the place, even down to having a dog bed, poo bags and dog towels . It was perfect, thank you Clare and Ian.

Good outdoor area for kids to play or run around. Beds very comfy, master bathroom really lovely. Seating very comfy. We appreciate the games and dvds. Good tvs. WiFi was great. There were fans which we really appreciated. Nice picnic table to sit at with parasol on a hot day. Dog blankets were great, the provider poop bags and dog bowls. Fridge freezer a great size for family of 4. Thankful of the dishwasher. Largely very clean and tidy. It's been maintained well. Just a little dusty around master bed at the back and down back legs. Single beds a little too narrow. Would have liked to have had a hoover, especially with two young kids and a dog about. No washing machine so recommend pack more than you might need. Bath mat was slippery so suggest getting a new one. Would also recommend plastic kids plates/dishes and cups... Just in case. Overall we had a really lovely stay. Could have stayed another week. Easy to find and we were close enough with a 20 min ride to most local places and food beaches. Lovely hearing the birds sing and the local chickens! Felt very relaxed in the place. Rarely heard the neighbours as it's far enough apart and liked the privacy of the hedges and shrubbery near by. Really pretty place.
