Please note: This property has a security deposit of £500.. Cliff House has been renovated in 2021 into a comfortable and spacious home with room for up to fifteen guests. There are five kingsize bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and a single room; each are spacious and have comfortable beds.
The bedrooms are spread across three floors with one bedroom on the ground floor. Some of the bedrooms have Smart TVs fitted. There are family bathrooms on the first and second floor with a toilet on the ground floor. On the ground floor there is a modern kitchen with two ovens, an induction hob, and a large American style fridge/freezer. Outside the property there is room for four cars to park and there is also street parking available.
The beach is a five-minute walk from the property with a café on the beach front. Opposite Cliff House, there is a hotel with a pub garden overlooking the ocean; they also do a delicious afternoon tea, but be sure to pre-book. Swanage high street is just a fifteen-minute walk away with a variety of independent shops, convenience stores, eateries, pubs and of course fish and chip shops to enjoy on the water’s edge. Along Swanage Promenade there are amusements such as arcades and several places selling ice cream!
There is a museum in Swanage with information on the history of the town including the Jurassic Coast, dinosaurs and the second world war; there is certainly something for all the family to be interested in. Swanage has a train station with a steam train which can take you to Corfe Castle, a beautiful town with the ruins of a 1000-year-old castle which is a National Trust site. If you want to connect with the outdoors you can walk along the Jurassic Coast, perhaps a day trip to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door for spectacular scenery or visit Durlston Country Park and National Nature Reserve where you can also visit Durlston Castle an extraordinary Victorian building with ever changing exhibitions inside. For the thrill seekers you can book trips to go out on the water including sea fishing, diving or coasteering.
A great way to explore the Purbecks is by bike, Rempstone Ride offers a 12mile, off road track suitable for all the family. Other nearby days out include Brownsea Island, Studland Bay, Arne Nature Reserve, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, The Blue Pool, Dorset Adventure Park and so much more.

We booked cliff house for a long weekend in July to celebrate a Big Birthday. Wasn’t sure what to expect, never been to Swanage before, but everything turned out perfectly. Booking experience was easy, the house itself was very clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. The owner Jessica provided us with some local insights on how best to access the beach. Slight issue with parking, but Jessica was able to resolve this easily. One small observation about the conservatory, very hot in the heatwave we had (July 2026), not a huge problem for us as we spent most of our time out but perhaps some ceiling blinds would help.Great house, great location, we loved it.

Great house for a large family group of 4 generations. Downstairs bedroom perfect for the elderly and twin rooms great for the kids. All needs catered for and very well equipped. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Short walk to the beach and seafront, and plenty of parking.Would highly recommend
