  We had a really lovely stay.

  The photos online don't do this property justice. It was bigger all round and more impressive than we imagined. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was a nice addition to have an ice dispenser in the fridge/freezer. The bedrooms were all a good size (other than the single, which was exactly that). The master bedroom was great, with a beautiful and large en-suite. The pool table was good fun. We did have issues getting the TV to work in the games room though. I contacted Skye Cottages about this on day 2, and they didn't get back to me (to ask further questions, not to solve this) on day 6. I didn't bother trying to get this sorted for the one remaining day. The garden was slightly smaller than we imagined, which wouldn't have been a concern if we didn't have young children wanting to run around. However, there was a field and play park out the back of the property, which was a pleasant suprise. The only thing we'd have liked was additional seating in the living room. There wasn't enough for the 6 adults who stayed. The proximity to the beach was amazing. It was so nice to walk the simple 10 minute journey to the seafront. Myself and family have been visiting Swanage for the past 35 years. This is a beautiful property with a fantastic location. We shall definitely come back - thank you.

  We had a delightful stay at Court Farmhouse. The weather was good but it would be a great house even if the weather hadn’t have been. It was clean and very well kitted out with kitchen equipment, storage and toys/games/videos. There is plenty of space for 3 generations with children to play and move about. We loved the dining room/ kitchen link. The conservatory and utility is ideal for coat/boots and inevitable clutter. The two reception rooms are great to allow several activities at once. All the bedrooms are light and spacious. The stairs are very steep but there are stair gates top and bottom. Do remember it is a 10 minute walk to the seafront and small toddlers will find it a step. We took scooters and our 5 and 8 year old were whizzing along. There is space for a smallish car on site and also plenty of space in the street opposite. The shop over the road is handy and the co-op is on the way to the front. The garden is ok for sitting in and there is a fantastic playground not far away over the steam railway bridge. The beach is good for sandcastles and the sea is clear and only gently shelving. We loved Swanage and there is plenty for all ages in and around the town. Court Farmhouse is definitely a good base to stay in.

  We had a really good week in this nicely decorated cottage. The cottage is in a very good location just a short walk (up/down the hill) from the high street and just seconds from the handy Spar. Although there is no dedicated parking space, we had no problems parking nearby. We were a family of four and had enough space, although having six in the kitchen would be a squeeze. The family bathroom is nicely done, but very narrow and a tight fit if you're a taller or bigger person. But plenty of hot water, decent shower pressure and the addition of the shower and sink in one bedroom is v useful. The sitting room is spacious with ample seating to spread out. Bedrooms are all nice sizes and as mentioned elsewhere the stairs are steep, which is not unusual in a cottage of this age. We didn't use the pretty shared garden but it's a nice outlook from the kitchen window. Neil, the owner, was very helpful and we would certainly stay again.

  Court Farmhouse has oodles of character and is a perfect set up for extended families. We booked it for a week at Christmas and it surpassed all our expectations! The log fire and spacious lounge was perfect for cosy nights watching films but we also used the second lounge for chilling, reading & pilates. The open plan kitchen/dining room was perfect for our Christmas Day lunch - the double oven, 6 ring hob and cupboards stuffed full of white crockery meant that everything was on hand to produce a 5 star gourmet meal! The location is perfect, a quaint convenience shop opposite and a short 5 min stroll to the beach, restaurants, independent gift shops and Supermarket. Court Farmhouse is a great choice and has it all !

  The cottage is the star of the show and easily accommodated 3 family generations and a dog.

  It is easy to be picky but here is some feedback. Hope it can improve what is a superb offering. 1. Initial WOW factor let down by some very dirty windows onto decking. Also the skylights upstairs are lovely but dirty. 2. Garden furniture adequate but in need of update as the sun deck is a superb feature. 3. Kitchen is very well equipped but tea cups and crockery in general needs refining. Only builders mugs are available - some smaller are needed. The opposite end of the scale- a decent sized teapot would be great. 4. We found the cooker disappointing in performance. Does it lack gas supply?. The ovens did not heat up enough to brown food. 5 Barbecue was superb. 6. Garden is very dog friendly and secure.
