Guests say

Linnets in Beaminster is a charming and clean cottage, praised for its excellent location and comfortable setting. Guests appreciate its proximity to local amenities and attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Dorset. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests willing to return.

The property is consistently described as very clean, with multiple reviews affirming its tidiness and well-kept condition.

The location is highly regarded, with guests appreciating the short walk to Beaminster's centre, local shops, pubs, and the convenience for exploring the surrounding areas.

The cottage is generally considered comfortable, though some guests mention issues with the bed and temperature differences between floors. Overall, the comfort level is satisfactory.

Facilities are well-received, but some guests report minor maintenance issues such as a tricky key safe, a confusing TV remote, and a toilet seat that won't stay up. Despite this, the facilities meet guests' needs.

While a review mentions lovely welcome gifts, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

We had a lovely week at Linnets in Beaminster. Within walking distance of the centre with its pubs and restaurants. There is a well stocked Co-Op and Spar in the little town and a smashing bakery. Plenty of places to explore in this gorgeous part of Dorset.

There are a few things that should be addressed to make this a 5 star accommodation . The key safe is very difficult to operate, the bed has a wooden frame that projects about 30mm at the bottom of the bed. You can’t see it because of the duvet but we both banged our legs on it several times over the first few days, very painful! The TV required 2 remotes to operate, very confusing and sometimes turned itself off after starting and several of the channels weren’t available. Also the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up.However I would stay there again, it was nice and warm once we had cracked the boiler controls, very clean and nicely positioned for the pubs and the Square.
