Guests say

Manor Lodge is a spacious and well-equipped property in Burton Bradstock, Dorset, praised for its large private garden, comfortable bedrooms, and ample socialising spaces. The kitchen is notably well-appointed, and guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome hamper. While minor maintenance issues are mentioned, the overall experience is highly regarded, making it an ideal choice for large groups seeking a homely stay near the beach and local amenities.

The property is generally described as clean, with specific praise for its immaculate presentation. However, there are isolated comments about a grubby fridge and a food waste bin, which slightly detract from an otherwise high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and village, with easy access to local pubs and shops. The setting is considered great in every way, contributing to a perfect holiday experience.

Guests find the property very comfortable, with large bedrooms, a variety of socialising areas, and a garden that is perfect for relaxation. The provision of a bathroom for each bedroom enhances the comfort level for larger groups.

The facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen and utility areas. However, minor electronic issues and maintenance concerns, such as a non-closing bedroom door and a challenging dishwasher, suggest room for improvement.

The welcome hamper and attention to detail, such as the provision of ice in the freezer, are appreciated gestures that demonstrate thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Manor Lodge was perfect, with the addition of a small Airbnb place 50 yards along the road for the 7th person. With 6 huge bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, plenty of socialising space downstairs, a lovely garden and walking distance of the beach it could not have been better.

The house was very well equipped, specially in the kitchen department (although a few more mugs would have been handy, we used them so often). The sitting room/dining room was perfect for socialising as well as eating, we appreciated the games and books provided. The bedrooms were super-comfy with a bathroom each - plenty of space for 8 of us. One word of caution - don't arrange to eat at the Anchor pub until you've checked the prices ...
