Private parking. No smoking.. This fabulous barn conversion which has been renovated over 2019/2020 is an ideal place for friends or larger families. Set in Bream, the property is a great base for exploring the Forest of Dean.
The property consists of open plan kitchen/dining area with breakfast island and all the appliances you could need. It makes a cosy home from home with some lovely exposed beams. The dining area has patio doors looking out onto the rolling countryside. The living room has exposed stone walls, a lovely wood burner and a Smart TV, great for those cooler evenings. There is a double bedroom to the ground floor with en-suite facilities. To the first floor there are a further three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and en-suite facilities. There are also two twin bedrooms, one with a Smart TV. A family bathroom completes the picture. To the side of the property is a patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue.
There are many attractions in this area including miles of very scenic footpaths. The Forest of Dean also has fantastic cycle tracks for the family or for the serious mountain biker. Also close by are local attractions such as Beechenhurst, Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves and Norchard Steam Railway. There are places of historic interest too such as Tintern Abbey and Chepstow Castle, and the market towns of Monmouth, Coleford and Ross on Wye. The Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is just a short distance away. Shop and café 1 mile.

Fabulous house, Perfect for large family gatherings. This is the second time we have spent Christmas at Owl Barn, it’s beautifully decorated and so cosy. The large kitchen is perfect for all the family to be together. There are plenty of plates etc. we have had a great time. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners , and the extra blankets for the dogs was so welcome, Now we are looking to book for a summer break.

We had the most wonderful Christmas weekend stay at Owl Barn and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate as a family. There were 4 adults and 3 children, and the barn was absolutely perfect for all of us — spacious, beautifully laid out, and incredibly comfortable.From the moment we arrived, Owl Barn felt welcoming and special. It was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxed and memorable festive break. The cosy atmosphere made it ideal for Christmas, and the children loved having space to play while the adults could truly unwind.What really stood out was how well the property caters for families — plenty of room, a warm and homely feel, and a setting that makes you instantly slow down and enjoy time together. We felt so at home that by the end of the weekend we weren’t ready to leave!We loved our stay so much that we’ve already booked again for next summer, which says it all. Owl Barn is a truly special place, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable family getaway.
