We stayed in the Stonehenge Cottage at Moorleaze Farm and the quality of the accommodation and the onsite facilities were excellent. We used the swimming pool several times during our short stay and loved the ability to re-arrange the allocated slots so we ended up with the pool and sauna too ourselves. The pool is a good size and the water is lovely and warm and is not over chlorinated. The games room is beautifully equipped and has things for all ages. We loved being able to take our 15mnth old grand daughter over there and whilst she was entertained in her toy corner we could play pool or table soccer. One of the best things to do there was actually just strolling around the grounds and then sitting outside our cottage in the evening with a pint of the local Lilley's Cider and staring up at the stars. We certainly intend to return to Moorleaze in the future.

We had an amazing break here, everything was absolutely perfect and there were little touches that made all the difference - such as mapped walks around the woods, with timings! All the onsite facilities were great and we were very disappointed that we couldn't stay for a week to take advantage of everything.

A nicely presented property with a lovely shared swimming pool, that allows each booking group to have at least one hour swimming per day just for their group. This is done on a rota basis. The tennis court was good fun but sometimes it was being used by others, so we had to wait for quite a while in order to play. There is no booking for this, so it is pot luck! Also, the table tennis, pool table, etc.The property was clean and tidy on arrival and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed linen and towels were freshly laundered also. Our only observations regarding “let downs” with the property, were due to poor ventilation when our main/patio door was shut and we had to shut it most of the time as we took the family Labrador. There were no fans, so one opening bedroom window downstairs and 2 skylight windows for the upstairs bedrooms didn’t really allow enough through draughty and we were often very hot. Also, the skylights are fine, until it rains. Obviously, this is down to the set up of the properties, so the only way round it would be to change the glass patio doors to stable doors, for people with dogs and/or small children. We didn’t go to Cheddar Gorge or any other “local” beauty spots, as they were further away than we initially thought, and very, very costly! Also, there is no local shop, that we found, within walking distance. This was a shame, as using the nearest Sainsbury’s most day was a bit of a faff. We had a pleasant time but may be 7 days was too long for our party, including ages ranging from 10 to 68 years old, plus dog. The kids looked forward to swimming but that was not really enough to warrant the price, for us as a group. Others may find differently.Very pleasant place for people who want to just relax, so I would recommend to certain friends and family.
