We enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage in beautiful grounds. It is quite unique with all the original features. The garden was safe and enclosed for our dogs. Judith welcomed us with a very enjoyable home made cake and a generous welcome basket. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

The owners had thought of everything to make our holiday special. The lodge is fully equipped and comfortable. The garden is beautiful. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and there was a wonderful basket of goodies and homemade cake. The information pack to give ideas of places to visit was useful. For dog owners there are plenty of walks from the cottage. The farm shop opposite is friendly, fully stocked and has a coffee shop. The local pub is only open a couple of evenings, but just up the road is the village Hazelbury Plunkett with a brilliant pub doing delicious food, dog walkers could leave the car behind. and use the helpful instructions left in the cottage to walk there, as the pub is dog friendly. A recommendation is to spend a day a little further afield on Portland at the Tout Quarry sculpture park and then the D Day Centre. This WW2 museum is dog friendly, very helpful volunteers who encourage you to interact with the artefacts, so you can sit in the vehicles and handle weapons. The Lodge is well located to get to beaches and towns like Sherborne and Dorchester. They both have good markets. We had a fantastic week at The Lodge.
