While some maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience is positive with many guests looking forward to returning.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with fresh flowers and a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned dust in temporary wardrobes, grease splatters in the kitchen, and a grubby living area rug, leading to a slightly reduced score.

Good for walking; into Melksham along bridleways & down to canal. Looking a bit neglected though. Twin room - no room at end of beds to get through between bed & wall, so one member of our party slept in single room as unable to get out to toilet at night without climbing over other bed! Picture frame broken in lounge, leaves & weeds all over patio, old grubby sponge & cloth for kitchen sink, no cleaning materials, handle to understairs cupboard fell off; only one key for four of us and no key ring, and front door very difficult to shut. Lots of little things that made the property less attractive. Farm is now solar farm, all the buildings completely neglected, made the cottage feel even more uncared for. Having said all that it was mostly comfortable, very peaceful and we loved being out in the country.
