About this property

This large holiday cottage in the Cotswolds sleeps up to 15 people and is newly refurbished throughout. Mews Cottage is just over a mile from the market town of Bradford on Avon, where you will find everything you need for a relaxed self-catering holiday, including pubs and restaurants if you don't want to cook! Bath, Stonehenge and Longleat are all within easy reach, as are beautiful walks through the Wiltshire countryside and along the Kennet and Avon Canal. There is plenty of space whether you're a big family, on holiday with your extended family or catching up with friends. Bookings, including short breaks, are available all year round.

Mews Cottage is far more spacious than its name implies. This gorgeous Wiltshire holiday home has five bedrooms to accommodate up to 15 people, with a layout that makes it perfect for friends or family. The standard of accommodation is flawless, with a recent renovation adding bi-fold doors that create a wonderful indoor-outdoor space that is ideal for easy dining and relaxed socialising. You'll love the location, which is just over a mile from the charming Cotswold market town of Bradford on Avon, as well as the variety and beauty of local footpaths and cycling trails.

Being so close to Bradford on Avon means you have everything you'll need for a self-catering holiday within easy reach. This welcoming market town is on the southern edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with pretty stone buildings and excellent amenities. An arched stone bridge spanning the River Avon has been a focal point of the town since the 12th Century. Walk beside the river and the Kennet and Avon canal, or meander around winding lanes lined with shops and places to eat and drink. Take time to admire the incredible condition of St Lawrence Church, built by the Saxons and dating back to the early 700s. The Bradford on Avon Museum is well-curated with exhibits for visitors who want to learn more about the town's history and the surrounding area.

The ancient city of Bath is around 20 minutes from the cottage. The unesco World Heritage Site has some of the finest Roman and Georgian buildings in England. You'll want to give yourself a full day to visit the Roman Baths, magnificent Abbey, and attractions like the Royal Crescent and the beautiful Assembly Rooms visited by Jane Austen during her time living in the city. Bath is great for shopping and dining out as well as for sightseeing. Local attractions for days out include Stonehenge, Longleat, and the National Trust Gardens at Stourhead.

Walking and cycling are both popular ways to enjoy the beautiful area around Mews Cottage. In addition to walking or cycling beside the Kennet and Avon Canal, the owners of Mews Cottage recommend exploring Southwick Country Park in Trowbridge, wandering around the manicured Court Gardens in Holt, picnicking in the 57-acre Royal Victoria Park in Bath, and stretching your legs on the six-mile Bath Skyline walk through the breathtaking countryside with panoramic views of the city.

Mews Cottage welcomes guests all year round, with short breaks possible depending on availability.
