The Oak is a well-received cottage on a working farm, praised for its comfort, well-equipped nature, and suitability for history enthusiasts and those seeking local attractions. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, clean environment, and the property's decoration. While some noted disturbances from farm machinery and road noise, these were not universal concerns, and many guests had a delightful stay.
Guests consistently mentioned the property was clean, with one review specifically noting it was 'spotless'. This suggests a high level of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is appreciated for its proximity to tourist attractions and local amenities. However, some guests found the nearby busy road and farmyard disturbances to be a downside, affecting the overall score.
Many reviews highlight the comfort of the property, mentioning comfortable beds and reclining sofas. The presence of disturbances for some guests slightly lowers the score.
The property is described as well-equipped with good kitchen and shower facilities. However, there was a mention of blocked shower plugs, indicating a minor issue with maintenance.
There are no mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Comfortable, well equipped cottage. Loved the reclining sofas, most welcome after a day out and about!Only real downside was the very close proximity of a busy and noisy main road at the bottom of the garden.

Good base for visiting gardens, National Trust properties etc in the area. Disappointed that the property faces directly onto the farmyard.
