Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the cottage's modern layout, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. The garden and outdoor seating are also highlights, contributing to a pleasant stay. Some guests mention thoughtful touches like wine and biscuits on arrival, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere.

While many guests found the property to be clean and well-presented, there are reports of dust, cobwebs, and inadequate cleaning in some areas. These issues seem to be inconsistent, with some guests experiencing higher standards than others.

The property is well-liked for its location, being close to the sea, shops, and pubs. However, some guests felt it was further from the town than expected. The parking situation was manageable but tight for larger vehicles.

Guests have praised the comfortable beds and the overall cosy atmosphere of the cottage. Some minor points were raised about the need for higher seated armchairs and the steepness of the stairs.

The property is equipped with excellent appliances and a variety of kitchenware. However, there are mentions of stiff shower controls, a broken gate, and the need for better outdoor cushions and blinds. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as a broken chair and a bathroom door handle coming off.

Guests have mentioned receiving wine and biscuits upon arrival, which is a nice gesture, but as gifts are not consistently referenced across the reviews, it is not possible to accurately score the category of thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. The general cleanliness was disappointing as I spotted stains on all furniture and furnishings as soon as we got there which made me feel uncomfortable and there were cobwebs, dead flies and woodlouse scattered about. The shower squigie broke (v.rusty) in my husbands hand on our second from last day. The rugs need non slip backing. It is a lovely house but the furniture is not practical and needs a deep clean. Despite sounding so negative we had a nice holiday and it's a lovely property and fairly quiet and excellent location, a fab shower but it just needs a deep clean.

Lots of space. We had the the downstairs bedroom with a great ensuite.Beds were very comfy. Ideal open plan kitchen/dining area. The kitchen was very well equipt. The gardens both front and back were secure for the dogs. Parking was good and we were able to fit 2 big cars in the parking area. Lovely house and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.

The shower squigie broke (v.rusty) in my husbands hand on our second from last day. The rugs need non slip backing. It is a lovely house but the furniture is not practical and needs a deep clean. Also, I know this can't be helped but the neighbour kicking footballs against the fence and over the fence every single day was not relaxing for us, or our dog-especially when he comes running into the property garden to get them back! Despite sounding so negative we had a nice holiday and it's a lovely property and fairly quiet and excellent location, a fab shower but it just needs a deep clean.
