Located facing heath and farmland in the village of Westletonwith its village green, two pubs, a shop(Post Office), Snug Tea Room as well as an old book store to explore, this semi-detached holiday home is close to Dunwich (beach, tea room, pub and fish and chiprestaurant), Dunwich Heath (NT), Minsmere rspb reserve and Blyth Estuary. It is ideal for bird watching, walkers andother visitors and is an area with extensive heath and coastal walks including heathwalks direct from the door. Southwold and Aldeburgh are 20 minutes drive and the many attractions of the Suffolk Heritage Coast are nearby. These include a sports centre at Leiston, boating in Southwold and Thorpness, opportunities for archery, clay and air rifle shooting experiences at the premier sporting and leisure centre High Lodge near Darsham who offer single, group and family activities as well as fishing in their private fishing lake, a café bar and Sunday Carvery events. It has a summer house/playroom with a selection of toys and children/families will enjoy the adventure playground in the village as well as local beaches, National Trust activities locally at Dunwich Heath, as well as all the features and activities within the Suffolk Coastal area. The Steam Museum in Leiston, Snape Maltings & Benjamin Britten Concert Hall, Castles in Framlingham and Orford, Orford Ness, Holleslley Suffolk Punch Trust, Sea World and other beach activities in Great Yarmouth are among the many and varied locations and activities to explore and the cottage provides anideal base for visiting the area and all along the coast.     Very dated and cluttered like staying at my nans house.Heating was sketchy to operate.Tv in conservatory didn’t seem to work.Bought own cups as ones in cupboard didn’t seem very clean had to clean out teapot as was very poorly presented generally everything is tired and needs an update sorry to say

    Lovely area for a holiday. So much to do. This was our 3rd visit to Heath View Cottage. The cottage is welcoming and cosy and has everything you need. With its location overlooking the Heath, it is beautifully peaceful.
