Guests say

Owl Cottage in Suffolk is highly praised for its beautiful, peaceful location and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the attentive hosts and the property's proximity to local attractions. While most find the cottage comfortable and well-appointed, a few mention that seating could be improved. The woodland setting and wildlife add to the charm of this well-recommended holiday retreat.

Guests consistently note the cleanliness of Owl Cottage, describing it as lovely and clean. The attention to detail in maintaining a tidy environment contributes to the high score.

The location is frequently described as beautiful and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing stay. Its proximity to local attractions and the Suffolk Coast is appreciated, although one review mentioned a safety concern regarding visibility when exiting the car park.

While many guests find the cottage comfortable, especially the bed, there are comments about the sofa and dining chairs being uncomfortable. The comfort of the seating areas seems to be an area for improvement.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a well-designed wet room and induction hob. However, there is a mention of a missing Nespresso machine that was expected, and one review cites maintenance issues with the bed and seating.

While the reviews reflect positively on the hosts' attentiveness and the provision of a generous welcome pack, there is no specific mention of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness in this context.

The town is of particular interest as it has a large castle and mere which was built between 1190 and 1210. The town is surrounded by lovely villages to explore and has two of the oldest working post boxes and one of Britain’s smallest houses, with the footprint measuring 6.1x2.2m! Everything you need inside for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We would definitely return. Loved the walk in shower! However we felt it’s very comfortable for 2 adults, but would have been less so for 3 adults. The single bedroom is comfortable enough for an adult, but you would need a more comfortable chair in the sitting room as the sofa is only comfortable enough for 2. Also there was no Nespresso machine!! Not a problem, but it was listed so we bought pods with us!!! Otherwise a perfect holiday in a beautiful county.

It is relaxing, very comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater if you wish or there are some really good places to eat in Framlingham, and elsewhere. We especially enjoyed the Station Hotel, which is a very lively place and serves up delicious food. Our hosts, Katie and Peter, were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to visit and to eat. It is in its own woodland, a very tranquil setting,.

Bed with springs showing through. Not a comfortable seat in bungalow. Arrogant attitude from owner. No assistance offered at all.
