Guests say

Dolphin Cottage in Southwold is a well-maintained and charming property with a prime location close to the beach and local amenities. Guests have praised its cleanliness, thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack, and the well-equipped kitchen. The garden is a delightful suntrap with bird feeders, adding to the cottage's character. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but overall, the cottage provides a comfortable and homely stay.

The property is generally described as very clean and tidy. One guest mentioned dust in a bedroom, suggesting room for improvement, but this seems to be an isolated comment amidst overall positive feedback on cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for being close to the beach and local pubs, with many guests appreciating the convenience. The only drawback mentioned is parking, which requires a short walk, but this does not significantly detract from the overall excellent location.

The cottage is generally found to be comfortable with a homely feel. However, some guests found the bunk beds hard and unsuitable for adults, and there were comments about limited space in the main bedroom, which suggests that while comfort is high, there is room for improvement.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and updates in the kitchen and bathroom. However, there are several mentions of minor maintenance issues such as a leaking shower head, problematic blinds, and a dishwasher issue, indicating that while facilities are good, maintenance could be better attended to.

Guests have mentioned a nice welcome pack and generous equipment, which indicates thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a courtesy and not guaranteed with every stay.

Plus the weeds. This is a real shame and its letting the property down for the premium fee paid in the summer months.
