The Teepee in Southwold is a well-furnished and comfortable cottage praised for its cleanliness, high-standard decor, and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and the thoughtful welcome gifts. Some concerns were raised about noise from nearby church bells and street traffic, as well as minor maintenance issues.
Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with remarks on its immaculate condition and spotless furnishings. One review mentioned grubby exterior windows, but this seems an exception to the overall high standards observed.
The location is generally seen as excellent, close to the beach, shops, and a playground. However, some guests found the noise from church bells and street traffic to be a downside, affecting the score.
The comfort of The Teepee is frequently highlighted, with guests mentioning comfortable beds and a warm, cosy atmosphere. The presence of noise was a detractor for some, impacting the overall comfort for those guests.
Facilities are deemed adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and great shower. However, issues with key safes, sticking doors, and lack of double-glazing for noise insulation have led to some dissatisfaction.
Several reviews express gratitude for welcome gifts, indicating a level of thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention this, and to ensure expectations are managed, it's noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
