Its location in a peaceful village is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds, with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and local guides enhancing the stay.
Reviewers unanimously mention the property's immaculate cleanliness, with several noting it looked brand new and was spotlessly clean upon arrival.
The property is highly regarded for its location in a quiet village, conveniently close to Moreton-in-Marsh and within a short drive to popular Cotswolds destinations.
Guests are very satisfied with the comfort provided, highlighting the super comfy beds, cosy log fire, and the overall relaxing atmosphere of the property.
Facilities are praised for being well-appointed, including a good wifi service, decent TV, and a well-equipped kitchen. The only suggestion for improvement was additional lighting at the dining table.
The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with special touches like welcome packs, fresh flowers, and local guides. While gifts such as chocolates and prosecco were appreciated, it is politely noted that such gestures are lovely surprises and not guaranteed.
The Bakery is a charming character cottage, beautifully refurbished to provide comfortable living space, whilst retaining delightful original features including an original bread oven after which the property is named.
The Bakery combines period features with a contemporary finish. With an open-plan living/dining/kitchen space downstairs and flexible bedroom accommodation upstairs, it’s a perfect cottage for small families or an idyllic romantic bolthole for two.
Situated on a quiet, no-through lane, the cottage has access to scenic walks just minutes from the front door.
Located in Stretton-on-Fosse, this little known and peaceful village is steeped in medieval history and located within easy striking distance of many of the well-known Cotswold villages such as Chipping Campden, Broadway and Stow-on-the-Wold. It also benefits from a friendly local pub serving speciality ales as well as locally sourced food.

Lovely property secluded in small village yet just up road from Moreton-in-Marsh and short drive to all the best villages in Cotswolds.

This accommodation was delightful in every way. A welcome pack of fruit, cake, and coffee, always makes a great first impression. The place itself is tastefully furnished and decorated and feels like a home from home. The attention to the little things makes such a difference - a good wifi service, a decent TV which starkly contrasts from what we have just had in Cumbria! Not as though you necessarily plan to stay in - but researching the area online does require wifi that is reliable. Watching the odd Netflix movie in 4k requires a punchier service than a dial-up connection. Appreciate this attention to detail. Full of character, this place made us relax, given everything we needed was there. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen well appointed, and the courtyard pleasant for a pre-dinner drink: a good place and such a quiet, peaceful village. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Me my Husband and our dog Isla stayed in The Bakery for a week. It was such a gorgeous house. And to make it extra special we arrived to a very pretty Christmas tree . The log fire was so cosy the beds were so comfortable the village was very quaint. Everything about our stay in this property was good. And The Cotswolds at Christmas time is absolutely beautiful. If you’re looking for somewhere to go and you’ve been looking for a clean comfortable beautiful property then look no further. You’ve just found this little gem. We loved every minute of our stay here and so did Isla the dog
