Denbigh Hall is a well-loved, characterful cottage praised for its peaceful location, cosy wood burner, and beautiful garden. It offers a true country escape with modern comforts, including a well-equipped kitchen and efficient heating. The property's authentic historic charm and idyllic setting make it a highly recommended retreat for those seeking tranquillity and comfort.
Most guests found the cottage clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated incidents of cleaning oversights, which were promptly addressed. Regular checks to confirm cleaning completion could enhance guest satisfaction.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its quietness, beautiful countryside, and excellent walking opportunities. Its secluded position at the end of a lane adds to the peaceful ambiance.
Guests enjoyed comfortable beds, a cosy atmosphere with a wood burner, and a spacious garden. However, the property's historic nature means low doorways and uneven floors, which may pose challenges for taller individuals or those with mobility issues.
The property is well-equipped with a good heating system, wood burner, and kitchen amenities. Some guests mentioned minor maintenance issues and the need for clearer signage. The provision of an OS map for walkers could be an improvement.
While some guests missed a welcome pack and noted a lack of basics like milk or sufficient toilet rolls, the well-stocked kitchen and provision of wood for the burner were appreciated. It should be noted that welcome gifts are a kind gesture but not guaranteed.

After a call to the owner, an apology due to a "computer error", cleaners were despatched and we waited while they cleaned around us. I note another guest reported something similar so would recommend that the owner requests confirmation when cleaning is complete rather than leave guests to report it. After that the cottage was a delight to stay in with a beautiful garden and was very well equipped with an efficient shower, heating and wood burning stove with plenty of wood. The inevitable quirkiness of an older property might be a challenge for some with its two wooden staircases and low beams but we loved it and especially the nod to the history of the property in various pictures. The location at the end of a lane made it lovely and quiet, although after one heavy and prolonged downpour the lane flooded making it impassable for that day but as we had provisions we were okay and the cottage itself wasn't affected. All in all, we had a lovely stay despite the hiccups.

The house itself was furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A lovely wood burner and good heating system meant the house was lovely and cosy. Great walks from the doorstep. The only thing I would say is it needs a sign outside plus the what three words in the information pack is incorrect. The bathroom doorway is small so you have to duck, but thatâs part of the fun! Would definitely return

Beautiful garden, very well stocked kitchen, good showers & we enjoyed the log burner. The smoke detectors gave us a fright when using the toaster on our first morning but we sorted it by opening the window & closing the kitchen door. The pillows caused us a few problems as they were feather & my husband is allergic.
