About this property

Nash Cottage is a well-presented, three-bedroom semi-detached property nestled within the village of Kingsland, Herefordshire. Presented to an excellent standard with off-road parking, an EV charging point and an enclosed garden, Nash Cottage welcomes families and their canine companions for a delightful retreat to Herefordshire. Internally, the property features a well-appointed kitchen/diner, housing an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and even a washing machine, so you can keep on top of your laundry. While away the hours in the lounge, catching up on your favourite shows from the Smart TV whilst the woodburning stove gently heats the space. Alternatively, escape to the conservatory and lose yourself in a good book. Spend balmy evenings within the enclosed garden, savouring your favourite tipple whilst your pooch roams the space. The bedrooms lie upstairs and include a king-size, twin and single, each neutrally presented with hanging rack for your clothes. A bathroom and wet room complete the interior, so you can best decide how to freshen up in the morning. The local village of Kingsland is a charming base, offering two splendid pubs, The Angel Pub and The Corners Inn, along with a Morrisons supermarket, resting three miles away. There is also a Post Office with a shop where you can grab the essentials. For those who enjoy walking and cycling, the area surrounding Kingsland offers many excellent routes, taking in superb views of the rolling countryside and dotted with traditional pubs. Visit one of the nearby National Trust properties, including Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, whilst there are plenty of unspoilt villages to box off, including Leominster and Ludlow, offering their own character and charm. Many fun, group and family-friendly activities can be enjoyed in the area including a high wire rope course, paintball, quad trekking and raft building, all of which are available at the local Oaker Wood activity centre. Nash Cottage is ideally situated to enjoy The Hay Festival in the half term week 25th May- 3rd June and is well placed for fishing on the River Wye all year round when permitted. Shobdon Airfield is three miles away and offers trial flights for the more adventurous. Travelling further afield the Elan Vally Dams make a great day out, and the beautiful Welsh Coast is less than two hours away. The city of Hereford is well worth a visit, home to one of the oldest Cathedrals in the United Kingdom, with its fascinating 13th century Mappa Mundi ‘world map’ and the captivating, chained library. Gather the family for a splendid break to Nash Cottage.

Two excellent pubs can be found in the historic village of Kingsland: the warm Angel Pub and The Corners Inn, both of which provide hearty pub meals and regional ales and are ideal for nights when you don't feel like cooking. – Additionally, Kingsland has a post office and a general store. The Riverside in Aymestrey, which won the Great British Pub Awards for "Best Sustainable Pub 2022" and "Herefordshire's Best Restaurant 2021," is another fantastic restaurant.

It was spotlessly clean and everything was provided - over and above any property we've stayed in before. A real home from home. It's in a beautiful location and Kingsland is a gorgeous village, with two great pubs and a very well stocked Post Office for supplies - inc. baked goods - and breakfast, lunches and teas, etc. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending a visit. Nash Cottage is an absolute gem and I can't wait to return.

Extremely dog friendly with a fully enclosed garden and a stairgate to stop any excited canines running upstairs! Highly recommended.

It was very easy to find, unlike some cottages we have been to. The owners were most helpful. Biscuits, sachets of coffee and tea, plus a bottle of milk, were waiting on the table. We came with our dog, and the cottage even had a small bin, outside, to put the doggy bags in. There was a file, packed full of information about what to do, and where to go. Information about using the various kitchen equipment was also provided. For my husband and myself, who are not tech savvy, it was essential. Everywhere was clean, spotless, and the bed was perfect, neither too soft or too hard. We slept well, ate well and relaxed. Croft Castle and Berrington Hall were within easy reach, and the grounds were ideal for the dog walk. Croft Castle even has an area in their café, where you can go in with your dog. The surrounding countryside is stunning. Kingsland has a Post Office and shop/café, which proved useful. Newspapers could be bought from a local farm, where we also bought eggs. A visit to the black and white houses of Penbridge, gave us photo opportunities, as did Kington. We will certainly recommend Nash Cottage to anyone keen to see Herefordshire.
