About this property

Leominster 7.1 miles. Tucked away in the rural chapelry of Marston Stannett, near Leominster, Herefordshire, lies this exquisite holiday property, Owl Barn. As the evenings grow darker, be sure to take time to soak up the gorgeous outdoor scenery in the hot tub before retreating to one of four plush bedrooms, each of which come with their own en-suite bath or shower rooms where you can wash away the day as you prepare for a new one. If you can tear yourself away from your superb base, Leominster is a short drive west, a market town home to the Stockton Bury Gardens and the National Trust landmark of Berrington Hall. The cathedral city of Hereford is also accessible by car, where you can find the eponymous Hereford Cathedral in all its Gothic splendour, as well as the Tudor-style tourist spot attraction of Black and White House Museum. Bring your family and friends for an unforgettable, countryside escape to Owl Barn.

On the lovely borderlands where England and Wales brush against one another along Offa's Dyke, Leominster is situated. The town of Leominster, which dates back to the seventh century, is home to several outstanding specimens of architecture, including the Priory Church, as well as a large range of stores, cafes, and pubs. It is the perfect place to spend a peaceful afternoon ambling around in pleasant surroundings. Tenbury Wells, a minor market town nearby, is located along the banks of the River Teme. Tenbury Wells, which dates to the Iron Age and is rumoured to have been Queen Victoria's "little town in the orchard," is home to a remarkable 18th-century bridge constructed by Thomas Telford, the magnificent Pump Rooms, which housed baths where local mineral water was available, and numerous other 17th-century listed structures. Croft Castle, Berrington Hall, the Judge's Lodgings at Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the famed Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, and the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm are just a few of the National Trust sites in the area. These are all well worth a visit. Discover Hereford with its fascinating Mappa Mundi world map and the captivating chained library, which houses a collection of rare and ancient books, or try some of Herefordshire's renowned cider. Nearby Bromyard has an air of antiquity and many half-timbered buildings, which helps visitors unwind among a good range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. With its majestic castle and more than 500 listed buildings, the charming mediaeval market town of Ludlow is a wonderful day trip. Ironbridge and Hay-on-Wye are both close by. Further wonderful day trips are to the spectacular Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons National Park, and breathtaking Malvern Hills.

Lovely large open plan living space with nice spacious bedrooms. It was in a really peaceful spot and really is in the middle of nowhere which is just what we wanted. After settling in we were met by Alex who was really friendly and happy to give recommendations, as well as there being a huge folder of recommended nearby eateries etc in the barn. Had a really lovely long weekend and would definitely return!

super spacious, very clean facilities with the barn looking over the lovely garden! Very comfy beds in bedrooms all with access to en suite facilities. Large sitting room/ kitchen/dining area with fridge, cooking facilities etc. Would highly recommend Owl Barn. A suggestion that maybe the entrance could have the name of the farm clearly placed as it was a little difficult to find in the dark despite having been given detailed instructions, even if it just an extra security light above the turn into the driveway - we all got lost arriving!
