Skylark Lodge in Ross-on-Wye is highly praised for its tranquil and picturesque setting, ideal for relaxation and fishing. Guests consistently commend the cleanliness, comfort, and the warm welcome provided by the hosts. The presence of a hot tub adds to the luxury experience, and the lodge's location is perfect for exploring the local area. Repeat visits and intentions to return are common themes, underscoring the property's appeal.
Guests frequently mention the immaculate condition of the lodge, indicating high standards of cleanliness. The property is described as well-maintained with attention to detail, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The lodge's location is consistently lauded for its beauty and tranquillity, with stunning views and abundant wildlife. Its proximity to local attractions and ease of exploring the surrounding areas are also appreciated, although one mention of traffic noise slightly impacts the score.
Comfort is a strong point for the lodge, with guests finding the accommodation cosy and well-furnished. The provision of comfortable beds and a warm welcome enhance the overall experience, although a single mention of narrow single beds slightly reduces the score.
Facilities such as the hot tub and fishing opportunities are highlights for many guests. The lodge is well-equipped for self-catering stays. However, a few criticisms regarding maintenance issues, such as potholes on the access lane and the positioning of the hot tub, suggest room for improvement.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome gifts like cheese and wine, and small touches like slippers and complimentary toiletries. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it is important to note that such offerings may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Highly recommend,
Janet
It is immaculate inside and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub is a bonus after a long walk. There are just 4 lodges on the site. It's a great base for visiting the surrounding countryside and towns.
