I stayed at The Coach House with eight friends and in the 25 years plus our walking group have been together this was one of the best places we have stayed.Plenty of bedrooms, warm and comfortable and very clean and tidy.

The Coach House is a very good value and spacious property for a large group and we found it both clean and generally comfortable. We enjoyed using the agar alongside an electric cooker, and there were plenty of kitchen pans, crockery etc. though some larger mugs would have been appreciated. We did find not being able to turn the heating off downstairs, uncomfortable - particularly in the dining room, which seemed like a waste of energy for this time of the year. The information needs to be updated, particularly to reflect the additional fridge and freezer capacity that is available in the property. (The little hand-written notes around the house ard very old and would be easy to replace). Please note the wifi is only available in certain rooms and we were confused as to the location of a possible extension??I found the owner who lives close by very pleasant on arrival, but would have appreciated a more timely response regarding arrival details etc in advance of that, from her family representative.Overall, we would recommend the property to others. Thanks and best wishes

Ideal house for a large party, we had 16 adults and 2 children under 5 and there was plenty of room for us all. Huge dining room meant we could all eat together and the kitchen is very well equipped. The house is very quirky though with uneven floors and not the most up to date decor so if you expect modern interiors then this is not the house for you. That being said, we loved it.
