Guests say

Parrs Meadow Cottage in Shropshire is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and peaceful rural setting. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, beautiful gardens, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The property's location is ideal for exploring Shrewsbury and the Shropshire hills. While most experiences are positive, a few guests noted privacy concerns around the hot tub area and a desire for more attention to detail.

The majority of guests report the cottage as very clean and well-presented. One review mentioned the need for additional cleaning in the kitchen appliances, but this seems to be an isolated comment amidst overall excellent feedback.

The cottage is consistently described as peaceful and well-situated for local attractions and countryside walks. Its rural setting is appreciated for tranquility, though one review mentioned it felt a bit remote, indicating a slight preference for closer amenities.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with several reviews highlighting the spaciousness, the quality of the beds, and the overall cosy atmosphere. The garden and views are frequently mentioned as contributing to the comfort of the stay.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the hot tub, though there are comments about the hot tub's privacy and one instance of maintenance issues. The property is praised for being well-equipped, but there is a suggestion for aesthetic improvements around the hot tub area.

Several reviews mention thoughtful touches by the hosts, such as homemade biscuits and the offer of apples. While these gestures are warmly received, it is important to note that such personal touches, although delightful, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Clean and very comfortable. More mugs/cups would be useful as only 5 for a cottage sleeping 4 people. On a personal note we bought bottled water as tap water tasted awful!

My comments are based on my expectations of how a holiday cottage should be delivered. It did not give me a wow factor on arrival, and seemed to be lacking in attention to detail, in respect of some aspects of cleaning and standards. In the kitchen the oven, microwave and hob, needed some attention prior to use, as did the washing machine. Not sure how long the cottage has been in use but some elements need upgrading

Comfortable and well equipped. Great garden spaces and lovely views from the lounge over the Wrekin.
