Guests say

The Old Coach House in Shrewsbury is highly praised for its comfort, well-equipped facilities, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like welcome packs and the property's cleanliness. The cottage's historic charm and proximity to walking routes and local attractions add to its appeal, despite minor concerns about maintenance and accessibility for some.

Reviews consistently mention the property being extremely clean and well-presented, with only a single mention of minor debris under the sofa, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness overall.

The property is celebrated for its quiet, peaceful setting and accessibility to walking routes and local attractions. However, the distance from the nearest pub was a slight disappointment for one guest.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with spacious areas and a cosy atmosphere. Some concerns about trip hazards and steep stairs slightly affect the comfort score.

The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests are pleased with the facilities. However, there are some mentions of maintenance issues such as a tricky lock and a small shower, which slightly lower the score.

Many guests mention and appreciate the thoughtful extras like welcome packs with eggs and milk. It is noted that such gifts enhance the experience, though they are not guaranteed for every stay.

The downstairs bedroom with on-suite bathroom was ideal for my disabled son. The only slight down side was that the gravel path outside to the door was a bit difficult for him. The living room was comfortable with a good television to watch. The kitchen was well equipped with all we needed for cooking and lots of storage space. The owners were available asking how we were and if we needed anything.

  • Debbie

The owners were very friendly and helpful and the property was beautiful.

Kitchen was very well equipped and the little extras provided were really appreciated. Lots of entertainment in terms of books, magazines, games & DVD's as well. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming in communications we had with them. Thank you.
